No, no, TW’s uncle is fine. I’m talking about Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. God bless both of you.
Farrah was my first F.C. (as in Fuck Crush) and, hell yes it was because of that wonderfully erotic poster. Yeah, I’m a pig, but I was a horny tweener/teenager at the time and that poster fit my adolescent lusts and desires to a T. When you think about it, that poster is pretty damn tame compared with today’s posters. I think that’s why it appealed to me. I mean, she’s wearing a one piece suit for Christ’s sake! Damn, what a beautiful woman. Such a beautiful smile. I love the fact that she fought so damn hard to stay alive. It’s a lesson that’s not lost on me. So, God bless you Farrah and thank you.
Michael Jackson, what a weird one huh? No, I’m not putting him down. I’m pretty fucked in the head myself. He just had more money to spend on crazy shit. But, what a dancer and what a musical artist! I’d like to tell you I have all his albums but most of his music was too pop for me growing up. I’m only a few years younger but other than early Jackson 5 stuff and the Thriller and Bad albums, I don’t have much of his music. He was talented though. My Lord was he was talented. God bless you too Michael. I hope whatever inner demons you had have shriveled up and died in the love of the infinite light.

You said what I felt about MJ perfectly M-D. RIP.
I will always remember the poster of Farrah hanging up in the audio-visual dept I worked in at high school back in ‘76…

This was a bad week if you grew up in the 70’s. Michael weirded out when he got older; but he really was a revolutionary artist in his younger days. When Thriller first came out it was #1 for so long in the local top 8 at eight that they stopped doing the countdown. And where would we be without Charlie’s Angels?

Yeah, no kidding. Add to that Bea Arthur, David Carradine, Ricardo Montelban and you’ve wiped out most of the 70’s sitcom stars. We’re just gettin’ old, Al, we’re just gettin’ old.
EDIT: Damn, forgot Dom DeLuise, Marilyn Chambers, and Mark “The Bird” Fidrych too! There goes my childhood!
