Mixed Messages

TW and I had a great weekend of sex. Unfortunately, we’re now dealing with the fact that we’re taking our dog to the vet to have him euthanized.

I’m just not in the mood to write about fun stuff right now, maybe later on in the week.

I’m gonna miss that dumb ol’ dog. Shit.

  1. A pet is part of the “pack” a family! They are something wonderous. They are comforting when we need it, and playfull when we need it. Nothing can replace a loved one……nothing…
My heart goes out to you!

  2. So sorry to hear about your dog, MMD. I’m nearing that time with our cat and with this being my first pet EVER…I know it’s not going to be easy

Best of luck to all of you.

  3. This is a very difficult thing to do. The first time I did this with my inlaws german shepherd, the mil and I went together. The vet gave us both a shot of whisky afterwards! I had to do it ALONE again in 2005, the vet botched it up big time, I almost slapped him, but it wasn’t the time or place. It still hurts like crazy. No more pets for me, at least for the time being.

You are in my thoughts, hugs to you both.

  4. So sorry to read about your dog. I’ve been there (with my 16 year old cat Fatima) and it’s never easy even if it’s time. But sometimes it’s the best thing you can do. Hugs to you and your family {{{}}}.

  5. That is always a hard thing to deal with…even when you know it is best for the dog and for you. It is amazing how fast those pets become a part of the family. Sorry y’all.

  6. Our deepest sympathies. We lost our cat, our campanion for 19 years (the whole of our married life and more – we have no kids) to kidney failure just before Christmas. The house seems so empty without her and for a while, it was difficult to get on with life.
She is buried in our garden and we still feel she is with us and telling us to get on with life. We feel that dealing with her death, even though it was never going to be far away at that age, has brought us close together.

  7. Sorry to hear about the dog…totally understand the feeling. We’ve lost 2 of our greyhounds in the past year and it really sucks. Just like losing a child. Hope you feel better soon as I love lurking and reading your tales and seeing the picture.
